In pursuance to the exclusive agency of GASTEC for the sale and distribution of Eni's lubricant products in Egypt, the Company achieved lubricant sales of 277,486 kg through its sales channels, which include its network of distributors throughout the year and lubricants change service centers at GASTEC's integrated stations spread across several governorates countrywide. This brings the total sales of Eni lubricants since inception to 1.309 tons.

 

Local Blending of Eni Lubricant Products

In the context of strengthening its presence in the local market, the Company has signed Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with both Eni and Mis Petroleum to blend several Eni lubricant products. A series of important contractual discussions with Eni and Mis Petroleum regarding blending and distribution agreements have been concluded. A comprehensive study of the Egyptian market was conducted, including the technical specifications required for launching tenders to supply production requirements.

Currently, the technical offers submitted are being evaluated, along with the financial aspects of these tenders. Field visits have also been made to local production supply companies to identify the best manufacturing technologies available locally.

The local blending project will include the following lubricant products:

* Eni i-Sigma Performance E7 15W40

* Eni i-Sigma Performance CI HBN 20W50

* Eni i-Sigma Monograde SAE 50

* Eni i-Base Professional L 20W50

The Italian Company Eni considered one of the first pioneers worldwide in the production and manufacture of high-quality lubricants, complying with the requirements of major manufacturers of vehicles, trucks and equipment around the world, which qualified its products to obtain the approval of a large number of major manufacturers in America, Europe and Japan. Therefore, the Company sought to cooperate and coordinate with Eni to offer such distinguished products from different types of lubricants to customers in the Egyptian market to meet the increasing demand for high-quality and high-performance of engine lubricants and industrial lubricants

During 2019, GASTEC delivered the first shipment of ENI industrial lubricants to one of major factories in the industrial zone in 6th of October, in which GASTEC’s lubricants sector officials held an introductory seminar for the operation and maintenance officials of the factory to clarify the advantages of Eni industrial lubricants also agreed to expand the dealing circle in various types of Eni’s  lubricants after the successful trial of the supplied lubricants

On other hand, GASTEC used the first shipment of industrial lubricants in CNG at the Company's station in Dokki, in order to expand the utilization of such lubricants in all types of compressors and various equipment at the Company's stations and centers

This comes within the framework of implementing the strategy of Ministry of Petroleum to provide specialized petroleum products to the requirements of the local market and with the highest quality standards
